If a parent wishes to exercise their right to object to his or her child receiving religious education or attending the act of collective worship during, a written request should be given to the Headteacher of the school to enable them to make suitable arrangements for the pupil to be supervised during such times.
Collective Worship
There are acts of collective worship for year groups on a rota basis. Worship is of a broadly Christian nature but with contributions from other faiths.
Every Group Tutor has access to ‘Thought for the Day’ to use with his/her form.
The school may, in agreement with parents, provide alternative arrangements for worship for one or more pupils that are excused, but is not obliged to do so.
