A commitment to Sport

All KS3 and KS4 students are timetabled for statutory lessons in physical education.

P.E. is offered as a subject at GCSE and BTEC Level 3 Sport in KS5. Extra-curricular sporting activities have included:

Dance Club Athletics Cheerleading
Gymnastics Rugby (Boys and Girls) Handball
Hockey Football (Boys and Girls) Kickboxing
Netball Cross Country Running Circuit training
Rounders Swimming Yoga

The school provides students with the opportunity to participate in other activities outside of the school curriculum, such as water polo, trampolining, dodgeball, basketball, ice skating, kayaking, cricket, rowing, and running. These activities have been available to all year groups during lunchtime and after school.

  • The school offers a wide range of trips such as Glan-llyn, Welsh rugby, Alton Towers, Harry Potter World, Liverpool, Manchester United, Manchester City, Real Madrid and PSV Eindhoven.
  • The Duke of Edinburgh Award Team and expedition group offer expedition training and outdoor camps in Snowdonia.
  • We offer a range of activities between school houses which gives students the opportunity to play against others in a competitive atmosphere.
  • Health and Wellbeing Week gives students the opportunity to try new sports and activities such as lacrosse, Gaelic football and mindfulness.
  • We attend all school competitions ranging from football to kayaking.
